How to Apply

Applying to Columbia College is simple and accessible! Follow our step-by-step guide to secure your spot and begin your academic journey in Canada. 

1) Know Your Application Deadlines

Columbia College has multiple intake periods each year. Make sure you apply before the deadline. Applying early increases your chances of securing a spot and allows more time for visa processing!

2) Complete Your Online Application

Our application process is fully online, making it easy to apply from anywhere in the world. 

  • Fill out the online application form

  • Ensure all details are accurate to avoid delays

  • Prepare your documents for submission 

3) Submit your application fee & other important documents

Once you complete your application, pay the non-refundable $200 CAD application fee securely through Flywire. After payment, upload the required documents: 

  • Academic Transcripts: Most recent school results 

  • Graduation Certificate: If you have already graduated 

  • Passport Copy: Photo and information page 

  • English Proficiency Test Results: IELTS, TOEFL, or other recognized tests (if available) 

Important: Only original or notarized copies are accepted unless applying through an authorized representative. Processing typically takes up to two weeks after we receive all documents. 

4) Pay your tuition deposit

After receiving your Offer of Admission, you’ll need to pay a tuition deposit to confirm your enrollment: 

  • International Students: $14,900 CAD (covers 24 credits over two semesters, initial medical insurance, and student activity fees) 
  • Local Transfer Students: $7,355 CAD (covers 12 credits and student activity fees for one semester)

Once the deposit is received, you’ll receive your Official Letter of Acceptance, which is required for your study permit application.

5) Apply for Your Study Permit

Your Official Letter of Acceptance is your key to applying for a Canadian study permit. Visit your nearest Canadian High Commission, Embassy, or Consulate to start your visa process. Processing times can vary, so apply as soon as possible!
