Community Connection Program (CCP)- External

  • 168 – 280 hours (12-20 hours/week x 14 weeks)
  • Respond to and resolve client inquiries, handle data entry and record keeping, and complete additional responsibilities as needed by the organization.

Library & Archival Assistant

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of student records for the Typing Essentials Program, LinkedIn Learning, and Co-Curricular Record (CCR), while also monitoring key metrics to optimize program practices for increased student enrolment and engagement.

Student Lab Assistant

  • 70-210 hours (5-15 hours/week x 14 weeks)
  • Collect, settle, and take down lab materials, prepare and organize specimens/solutions, provide in-person instructional assistance, and update procedures and manuals. Responsibilities may vary depending on the respective lab (Biology or Chemistry).

Student Services Assistant (SSA)

  • 140-168 hours (10-12 hours per week x 14) weeks
  • As part of the Student Services Department, the SSA manages the front desk and department email, provides student information in person and online to the right individual and/or department, also handles record cataloguing and data entry tasks.

Student Services Program Assistant 

  • 210-280 hours (15-20 hours/week x 14) weeks
  • Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and promote of the CC Community Cupboard, create promotional materials for Student Services programs, and provide input for current and future student-oriented initiatives.

Student Engagement Ambassador (SEA)

  • 124-144 hours (6 hours per week during the semester and up to 20 hours per week during the semester break)
  • Build and manage connection with all students include new student, work with Student Services staff to develop activities and events in areas such as careers, health & wellness, student life, and social media campaigns to boost CC’s online community.

Social Media Ambassador

CC Community Cupboard General Volunteer

  • Approximately 2 hours (1 hour/week x 2-4 weeks)

CC Community Cupboard Senior Volunteer

  • Approximately 14 hours (1-2 hours/week x 14 weeks)

Head Volunteer – Science Fair (LIMITLESS)

  • 10+ hours
  • Ensure efficient check-in, lead campus tours, answer inquiries, and guide new students through online course registration.

  • Mentor new students, answer questions about CC, facilitate friendships, and assist with pre-orientation preparation.

  • 26 to 65 hours
  • Create and execute a social media plan to engage alumni, promote college activities, achievements, and encourage alumni participation.

Student Resettlement Social Engagement Peer Leader

  • 30 hours (2-3 hours/week x 14 weeks)
  • Provide social engagement support to resettled and forcefully displaced students, maintain social media, arrange workshops, and group activities, and fundraising for WUSC to increase awareness of Forced Migration and Forcefully Displaced People, also the Peer Leader collaborates closely with the Executive Director of charitable programs at the College.

Student Resettlement Self-Reliance Peer Leader

  • 30 hours (2-3 hours/week x 14 weeks)
  • Provide Self-Reliance support to resettled forcefully displaced students at Columbia College, organize events and workshops, rising awareness and funds for the Global Scholars Program (WUSC), also the Self-Reliance Peer Leader collaborates closely with the Resettlement and Student Development Managers assigned to the Self-Reliance pillar of WUSC.
