Family Day Postcard Activity

Why is Columbia College closed on Monday? Family Day is coming! Family day is a statutory holiday celebrated by many provinces in Canada. In British Columbia, Family Day is Monday, February 17th. It’s a time for families to spend time with their loved ones, in hopes to reflect the values of family and home.
There are many planned activities and special events in the community that families can attend altogether. Art galleries and museums may have reduced admission fees to encourage family activity. If you have time in the weekends, check them out around you! Go with your family, or with your friends, as they are often called the family you choose 🙂
At Columbia College, to celebrate Family Day, there will be a table on the first floor lobby from 12-2pm on Friday, February 14th. Come pick a Vancouver-themed postcard, decorate it with stickers and markers, and write a message to your beloved family (or friends!) back home. International stamps will be provided, so your postcard is good to go anywhere!
