Fitness Day with Global Scholars Fellowship Club (Columbia College on the Ride!)

Join our Columbia College team in the Ride for Refuge! The Global Scholars Fellowship Club is walking, running, biking, hiking, dancing, cooking, painting, baking, and anything-ing to raise awareness and raise $2,000 for World University Services of Canada – Student Refugee Program. This program helps refugee students re-settle in Canada, and get access to higher education for a better future. Our next student will be arriving in Winter 2021!
To pay tribute to our next student’s journey, CC on the Ride is collecting 13,866km, the distance between Vancouver and Somalia. On October 3rd, our Fitness Day, we will complete various activities in exchange for kilometers as a last push to our goal. You can join us for both parts of the day (bike ride or workout session), or either one. Interested? JOIN OUR TEAM!!!
Event: Fitness Day with the Global Scholars Fellowship Club (Columbia College on the Ride!)
Date: Saturday, October 3, 1-3pm (group bike ride) and 3-4pm (group workout session)
Location: For the group bike ride, please meet us at Cycle BC at 1pm. For the workout session, please meet us at Creekside Park at 3pm. Look for blue balloons, a Columbia College umbrella and Columbia College picket sign.

Not into walking, running, biking, hiking, or exercising in general? Just this once, you can Freestyle! Check out all the different ways you can get involved. No matter which activity you choose, we will all be contributing to the team goal of reaching 13,866km or raising $2000!
All proceeds go directly to the Student Refugee Program, so any donation is greatly appreciated. All donations over $20 will automatically be mailed a Canadian Charitable Tax Receipt. You can make a donation from our team page.
