Overnight Tofino Trip

$180Our most anticipated school trip of the Summer 2019 semester is here! Join us on a 1-night 2-days trip to Tofino on Vancouver Island’s west coast. This is a paradise for the nature lover. Highlights of the trip include:
- Goats on a roof at Coombs Market
- The oldest cedar trees in North America at Cathedral Grove
- Hitting Long Beach in Tofino
- Learning about First Nations people in the Tofino area
- A chance to try surfing! (Optional at additional cost)
Date: Saturday, July 6 ~ Sunday, July 7
Meeting time: 7:00AM (We are expected to arrive back in Vancouver at around 9:00PM on Sunday.)
Meeting location: 1010 Canada Place, Vancouver, BC, V6C 0B9
Ticket price: $180 (includes tax, round-trip bus and ferry ride, guided tour, and accommodation) *Default hotel accommodations are 4 students to one room with two beds. You will be sharing a bed. Upgrades are available at additional cost. Please see Zerlinda or Jerica for more information.
You can participate in optional activities at an additional cost during this overnight trip: Surfing Lesson ($85), Whale Watching Tour ($105), Bear Watching Tour ($105), Kayaking Tour ($60), and SUP (Stand Up Paddle-boarding) ($60).
The sign-up deadline is ASAP. Spots are filling up fast so come to Student Services (MC) or N406B (NC) to reserve your spot.
To sign up
Step 1: Come to Student Services (MC) or Room N406B (NC) to fill out a waiver form. You can also click here to print one out yourself. Scroll down to “Administrative Documents”. The form is titled “Waiver and Release of Liability for Student Activity or Course-related Field Trip”. Submit the form to Jerica or Zerlinda.
Step 2: Go to Accounting to pay for the trip. Keep the receipt! Take it to Jerica or Zerlinda. You’re done! A mandatory info session will soon follow, so please keep an eye out for an email.
