Columbia College English for Academic Purposes (EAP) prepares students in a collaborative and supportive setting for their academic studies.
Students can submit IELTS/TOEFL or write our Language Writing Assessment to determine which level before entering a program. Students will have full access to Student Services and college facilities.
All EAP courses are non-credit.
For UT/AD Students
The program offers English 099, which serves college-level students who have met the English requirement necessary for direct entry into the Associate Degree program at Columbia College but need additional language support before enrolling in University-level English courses.
For High School Students
High School students who do not meet High School grade-level standards are placed in English 097 before proceeding to the appropriate High School English level.
Students testing below English 097 are referred to partner language schools before enrolling in English 097.
