A valid external test score, or equivalent in partner programs, as per the college requirement, or as determined by the college English Placement Test (LWA).
WD 097 and one academic course elective.
ENGL 097 students are permitted to concurrently take a maximum of one (restrictions apply) university transfer credit or secondary credit course. The course covers all aspects of language development, with particular attention to the reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills needed for university-level or secondary- level work.
